**This conference has been accredited for 15 hours of continuing legal education for jurists by a recognized provider.**

This two-day conference will offer attendees the chance to reflect on the broad societal implications and policy challenges of marijuana legalization, and to learn from the experience of states and jurisdictions that have undergone similar legislative change. The IHSP has assembled a very distinguished list of speakers, including researchers, industry professionals, policy-makers, and high-ranking government officials from Canada, Portugal, and Uruguay, who will help us to think through the challenges and opportunities that legalization will give rise to. These include public safety and public health concerns, workplace challenges, economic implications, and complex questions as to how best to put in place a legal marijuana market in a context where an illegal market already exists.
