3MT/MT180 info session (for Humanities and Social Sciences students)

You put your heart and soul into your thesis; now you want to share it with the world. And that can be scary, right? Thoughts begin to race through your mind, like “How much of my research do I share? Where do I even start? How do I make it sound exciting?”We get it, translating complex research into a simple and engaging narrative is no walk in the park. That's where the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition comes in.

The 3MT competitive provides a platform for you to showcase your scholarly work and its broader impact in a concise and compelling manner. Participating in the competition and related training help you break down your thesis into a bite-sized, relatable presentation that everyone can understand and appreciate. Plus, you'll gain some invaluable communication and public speaking skills along the way — skills you will continue to carry through academia and beyond.

Interested in the 3MT/MT180 competition, but not sure where to start? Join an info session to learn more and gain expert tips on how to share your research.
