TITLE / TITRE

Bipermutohedral combinatorics

ABSTRACT /RÉSUMÉ

The classical permutohedron plays a central role in the mathematics were ideas of convexity, matroid theory and type-A combinatorics overlap and intersect. A newer construction, the bipermutohedron, has related structures and applications that are still being understood. I will give an introduction to this object and describe two ways in which it can be used. One is in matroid combinatorics (with Ardila and Huh) and the other for some geometry of Feynman amplitudes (with Schulze and Walther).
