McGill experts answer your questions: Exploring associations between cardiac and cerebral health

The McGill Dementia Education Program has partnered with AVC-Aphasie Laval to offer a series of free public lectures on neurocognitive disorders.

These 45-minute lectures will be followed by an interactive 15-minute question period. They are intended for members of AVC-Aphasie Laval as well as members of the larger community.

Offered in hybrid mode, it will be possible to attend via Zoom or to reserve a place at the AVC-Aphasie Laval premises. Registration is required.

Please note that the conferences will be presented in English in the morning and in French in the afternoon.

Exploring associations between cardiac and cerebral health

Catherine Talbot-Hamon, MD, MSc, FRCPC, will explore the many connections between the human heart and brain. She will discuss examples of diseases affecting both organs and will review recommendations for optimal heart and brain health.

Dr. Catherine Talbot-Hamon is Assistant Professor in Geriatric Medicine at the Glen Site of the McGill University Health Centre. Her interests are preoperative assessment and care optimization of older patients undergoing cardiac and other surgical procedures.
