Genome Canada has the intention of launching a funding competition for large scale applied research in agriculture and agri-food.

Genome Canada LSARP competition will support projects focused on using genomic approaches to address challenges and opportunities of importance to Canada’s agriculture and agri-food. It will target applied research projects with a total budget between $2M and $10M, over a period of 4 years. Projects must have concrete deliverables at the end of the funding period as well as concrete and measurable short-term socio-economic benefits (3 to 5 years after the end of the project) with a defined and realistic knowledge transfer plan.

A representative of Genome Quebec will present the program, its intended scope and its process.
There will be a Question and Answer period.

Researchers interested in this opportunity who would like to learn more about the program are encouraged to attend.

You are invited to register here by August 21st, 2017.
