Janice Pierson named General Manager of Macdonald Farm

Ms. Janice Pierson will join Macdonald as the General Manager of the Macdonald Campus Farm effective January 9, 2023.

Janice completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees at Macdonald Campus in the Department of Animal Science. Following her studies, she joined Nexia Biotechnologies which later became Pharmathene Canada and gained more than ten years of experience producing transgenic goats. In 2012, Janice shifted toward the dairy industry and joined the Valacta Dairy Expertise Centre as a Regional Manager. She acquired management experience at Valacta which eventually joined CanWest DHI and the Canadian Dairy Network in 2019 to become Lactanet.
