Minister of Justice visits the Max Bell School of Public Policy

On May 25, the Max Bell School of Public Policy was honoured to receive the Hon. David Lametti, Canada’s Minister of Justice and the Attorney-General of Canada. The Minister spoke to the entire cohort of students in Law, Human Rights and Public Policy, a core course in the MPP program. Minister Lametti discussed his role in cabinet and as Attorney-General, exploring the multiple connections between law and public policy. The session was moderated by Professor Pearl Eliadis, and students prepared commentary and critical questions about the commitments in the 2021 Mandate letter and progress to date. The talk represented an exceptional opportunity to engage with one of Canada’s leading jurists, educators and policy-makers, on issues of critical importance to Canadians.
