TBC

LOCATION: Redpath Library, Research Commons A

First session will take place on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 6:30-8:30 pm.

Note: Most sessions will take place on Wednesday evenings. You will be sent an email confirmation with the final dates and times. Seminars and case-cracking sessions usually happen from 6:30-8:30pm. Certificates of completion are issued to participants who attend a minimum of 8 lectures plus 1 case session.

The goal of the Basic Business Skills series is to provide graduate students with a basic understanding of the principles of business administration. Students with an interest in business will have the opportunity to challenge themselves with engaging discussions and practical case solving activities, as well as to reflect on business-related post-graduation opportunities.

The series consists of weekly 2-hour interactive lectures on topics such as finance, entrepreneurship and marketing yourself, as well as four hands-on case-cracking sessions allowing the application of the learned material. This model makes a strong connection between theory and practise enhancing opportunities for participants to learn case analysis techniques and help prepare them for case-based interviews.
