Brown Student Services Room 5001, 3600 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC, H3A 0G3, CA

CaPS is hosting a special event for graduate students and postdocs in the social sciences interested in a career at a start up.

Our guest speaker is Jason Stanley (PhD Sociology), Head of Insights & Senior Research at Breather, who will share how he went from his PhD to a job in the start-up scene without having any contacts or experience working in a start-up. He will talk about his transition and how to make social science skills and experience relevant in the start-up and non-academic world. Jason holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from New York University and graduate degrees in the social sciences from Oxford University.

Please register through MyFuture. Once logged on, search for the workshop under “Events” then “Workshops/panels/events” and keyword search PhD.
