Dr. Anne Andermann was recently invited by the World Health Organization to present her innovative research on the CLEAR toolkit as a satellite symposium at the 3rd Global Forum on Human Resources for Health in Recife, Brazil in November 2013.

Training the New Generation of Humanitarians: 2014 Disaster and Humanitarian Response Program
2010 was a landmark year for the world’s women and children. Through the G8, Canada led a global effort to see that women and children do not die or suffer needlessly from preventable causes. Global and Canadian evidence is demonstrating that investments are having a tremendous impact. The Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS) is looking for an intern studying Public Health or specializing in infectious diseases arising from displacement in the context of mass atrocities or natural disasters.
The intern would help Prof. Frank Chalk, Director of MIGS, to identify appropriate foundations and granting agencies to funs a study of the impact of mass atrocities on the spread of infectious diseases from the sites of crimes against humanity and genocide to distant countries via air, land or sea travel.
