Biography

Rima Hindo holds a bachelor of commerce degree from Concordia University, a Graduate Diploma in Public Accounting from McGill, and an MBA from the Kellogg Schulich Executive Program. She studied computer science at Brigham Young University, and obtained her CPA, CA in 1985. 

Rima has worked around the globe in Montreal, Toronto, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East.

She's held a variety of roles at one of Canada's leading financial institutions, including budgeting and reporting for global markets, overseeing accounting for the first two large asset-backed securitization activities in Canada, establishing quality assurance processes for the internal audit department, and serving as a subject matter expert on privacy. She had previously set up the training department for a Big 4 firm in Saudi Arabia.  

She spent over 10 years teaching at two universities in the Middle East, as well as training internal audit interns at the Middle East's largest hospital.

Rima is associated with many philanthropic societies and cultural activities across the globe. She ran a mentoring group for business women in Saudi Arabia, was a board member for the IMA's Riyadh chapter, and is a founding member of Metamode Institute, a think-tank in Toronto.

She contributed cases to Accounting by Hongren, 8th Global Edition published by Pearson, PLC, and was also a columnist for an international travel magazine.
