MDIIM Student Associates Program – Call for 2014-15 Applications Now Open

Tuesday, September 30, 2014toMonday, October 6, 2014

The Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management (MDIIM)’s mandate is to address complex, systemic challenges through an integrative approach to management.  Such an approach breaks down disciplinary barriers, embraces multiple perspectives and encourages holistic, context-sensitive thinking about organizations. Integrated management constructively faces the tensions of different perspectives on value to enact strategies that transcend rather than accept trade-offs.

As incorporating the student perspective is vital towards achieving this mandate, MDIIM will once again be hosting its Student Associates program. This third cohort of students will propose and develop their own integrated management projects in addition to assisting the Institute in achieving its programming goals over a one year term.

Applications are open to both full-time Desautels MBA and BCom students who will be on campus for both the Fall 2014 and Winter 2015 semesters. In addition to project specific work, Student Associates will have opportunities to participate in MDIIM events, interact with guest lecturers, and contribute to advancing the MDIIM’s agenda. These paid positions ($5,000 over two semesters) present a fantastic opportunity for students to contribute to the Faculty and greater community while gaining valuable experience.

Application deadline: October 6, 2014
