Congratulations to Professor Vedat Verter on receiving a CIHR/SSHRC Healthy and Productive Work Partnership Development Grant

Congratulations to Professor Vedat Verter (Co-investigator) on receiving a CIHR/SSHRC Healthy and Productive Work Partnership Development Grant for, Strengths-Based Nursing Management and Leadership Training with Innovative Story-sharing. This program is very competitive; of the 20 grants awarded, McGill University was granted one.

This project brings together experts (1 PI, 7 co-investigators, and 4 collaborators) with diverse knowledge and skillsets to change nurses’ work-life environments, enabling them to practice Strengths-Based Nursing to promote safer, quality patient/family care. Partnered institutions include: Ingram School of Nursing, Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management, Center of Oral History and Digital Storytelling, Holland-Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Nursing Health Services Research Unit. Two award-winning creative artists will create video/photo prototypes and experiment with new forms of story-sharing. Collaborators are internationally renowned scholars, one with expertise in gender and identity issues, and the other in the use of narrative pedagogy.
