Biography: 

Jason Chrein is a McGill alumnus with over 20 years of commercial real estate and hospitality industry experience in the US and Canada. Based in New York City, Jason is Managing Director and Head of Canadian Development in the Real Estate, Lodging & Gaming Finance Group at Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank. He is responsible for originating, structuring, executing and overseeing both mortgage and corporate level financing transactions involving many of the industry’s leading global investors and operators.

Prior to joining Credit Agricole, Jason was employed on the fund management side of the business as a Vice President at JP Morgan Asset Management. Jason was responsible for investing pension fund capital into various real estate debt vehicles. Prior to JPMAM, he held management positions at Citigroup, KPMG Consulting and Citadel Realty Group, a boutique real estate investment bank.

Jason has been a speaker at the NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference, The Montreal Property Forum, as well as other industry conferences. He has also been a guest lecturer addressing undergraduate and graduate student audiences at Ivy League and other leading US academic institutions.

Mr. Chrein grew up in Montreal. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. He lives in Manhattan and is married with two children.
