This year’s X-1 cohort has been announced. It’s a diverse group, and one that boasts participants from the McGill Dobson Cup and the McGill Lean Startup Program, as well as a higher number of women than men.
The teams come from fields as diverse as medical technology, education, advertising, retail, and food, and hit on needs ranging from access to affordable dialysis in the developing world or revenue maximization for digital media, to collaborative quiz creation for academics.
The initial application period for the McGill X-1 Accelerator lasted from March 30 to April 30, after which there was a review process to arrive at this year’s eight-team slate.
