Honours Electrical Engineering
Program

The Electrical Engineering Honours program is highly competitive with limited enrolment. To be considered for entry into the Honours program, a student MUST COMPLETE AT LEAST 14 CREDITS in each term since entering Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering. To remain in the Honours program, the same credit minimum applies and a CGPA of at least 3.30 must be maintained. In either of their final two full terms (i.e., Fall and Winter, or Winter and Fall) students may drop below 14 credits, provided the combined load for the two terms is at least 16 credits.

Students admitted from CEGEP are eligible to apply to the Honours Program at the start of the third term. Students admitted in an Eight Semester Program may apply at the start of the fifth term. Students are not eligible to apply to the Honours Program in their first year. For full program details you may visit the McGill Course Calendar. You may also wish to consult our Honours Electrical Engineering Leaflet.
