The Schulich Library renovation: Preserving the past, building for the future

The Macdonald Stewart Library Building is the latest McGill heritage building to undergo a major rehabilitation of its envelope in recent years, after Macdonald-Harrington and Macdonald Engineering

The Macdonald Stewart Library Building, home to the Schulich Library, is part of a group of buildings built at the end of the 19th century that gave the downtown campus its signature image. At $31.8M, its recent renovation - interior and exterior - was the largest project completed at McGill in 2023.
