Biography: 

My thesis work aims to evaluate the effect of peat extraction management practices on greenhouse gas emissions in actively extracted peatlands in Quebec. The purpose of my research is to improve land use greenhouse gas accounting in Canada, inform policy, and guide the peat industry towards more sustainable practices.

I serve as a member of the Senate Subcommittee on Women, dedicated to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion within academia. I am also actively engaged in initiatives focused on improving communication within the academic community to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and action.

Current research: 

My research aims to quantify and evaluate how peat extraction management practices affect greenhouse gas emissions in actively extracted peatlands near Riviere-du-Loup, Quebec. The purpose of this research is to improve land use greenhouse gas accounting in Canada, inform policy, and guide the peat industry towards more sustainable practices.
