Asian University for Women Teaching Fellowships

The Asian University for Women (AUW) is a liberal arts university based in Chittagong, Bangladesh with over 900 students from 20 countries across Asia. The institution focuses on educating first generation female university entrants who have demonstrated their potential for leadership in social change. Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (GPS) is relaunching the teaching fellowships offered in partnership by McGill University and the Asian University for Women (AUW). The positions will be at the AUW campus in Bangladesh. The participating Post-Docs would have an opportunity to be a part of an international community of scholars and learners who are at the front line of changing societies through the power of educating women.

The positions are open to persons of any gender.

Duration: 10 months

Skype meetings with AUW offered until June 24, 2020

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • be enrolled in a doctoral program in the Faculty of Science or Faculty of Arts (Literature, Economics, History, Islamic Studies, Gender Studies, Anthropology, and Sociology);
  • maintain full-time registration status (thesis additional session or thesis evaluation) for the Summer 2020 term;
  • have their oral defense by August 03, 2020.
