Fees & Transcripts

Fees

Regulations and policies governing graduate student fees can be found in the fees section of the Graduate e-Calendar. For additional information about graduate student fees, including a breakdown of McGill's fee deferral policies, visit the Student Accounts website.

Fees according to residency

The Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur, Recherche et Science (MESRS) requires all students who are citizens or permanent residents of Canada to provide proof of their status. Students who wish to qualify for the Québec tuition rate must also provide proof of Québec residency. Those who do not submit appropriate documentation will be charged fees at the International rate. Further details and instructions can be found on the Legal Documents website. All required documents must be submitted within the timeframe indicated on the site

Permanent code

l’Enseignement supérieur, Recherche et Science (MESRS) also requires all students attending a university in Québec to hold a Permanent Code. Failure to provide the necessary documents to Enrolment Services may result in the student being assessed at a higher fee rate, and/or the student's admission to, or registration in, the University being withdrawn. Please refer to the Legal Documents website for more information. Enrolment Services is responsible for verifying the Permanent Code of all McGill students.

Transcripts

Enrolment Services is responsible for issuing official transcripts for all McGill University students. Visit the Student Records website for more information.
