Professional Accounting (Grad. Cert.)

Program Description

The Graduate Certificate (Gr. Cert.) in Professional Accounting offered by the Desautels Faculty of Management is a course-based program that emphasizes rigorous and innovative learning opportunities. Our comprehensive and innovative program offers a specialized and practical curriculum designed to equip students with advanced skills in accounting.

Unique Program Features

  • Recognized as a professional education program (PEP) des Ordre des Comptables Professionnels Agréés du Québec (OCPAQ). The program prepares students for a career as a professional accountant and to write the national CPA Common Final Exams;
  • Students develop professional skills that will be recognized nationally and internationally. Students are exposed to the latest concepts and practice related issues and have the choice of studying in the areas of public accounting (assurance), performance measurement, taxation, or financial business analysis;
  • A 24-month articling period in a designated training office can be done concurrently with the program or any time after commencing the program.

University-Level Admission Requirements

  • An eligible Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA
  • English-language proficiency
