Biography:
Rafael Núñez Rodríguez is a lecturer in Hispanic studies at McGill University and is currently completing his Ph.D. at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research focuses on 19th-century and contemporary poetry, with a particular emphasis on transatlantic novel fiction related to the debt crises that culminated in the rupture between Spain and Cuba.
He has participated at several international conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes.
In addition to his research pursuits, Núñez Rodríguez is recognized for his excellence in teaching. During his doctoral studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he received two teaching awards.
