Kawaskimhon National Aboriginal Moot

Welcome to our participants, who are coming from across Canada!

The Kawaskimhon Aboriginal Moot is a consensus-based, non-adversarial moot that incorporates Indigenous legal traditions alongside federal, provincial and international law.

This year's problem will concern the status, protection and control of Indigenous archeological heritage artefacts - and of the sites at which they are found – which are of central significance to the culture and identity of Mohawk (Kanien’kehá:ka) people of Kanehsatà:ke located within the traditional territories of the Mohawk Nation.
