The Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism invites you to an O’Brien Fellow in Residence talk by Vicki Prais, titled Pursuing a career in human rights – All you wanted to know but were afraid to ask.

Vicki Prais, a London-based human rights lawyer, will offer up some candid and personal advice and share some of her experiences as a practitioner in the field. Her talk will focus on:

  • the different entry points into a human rights career in ;
  • the lifestyle;
  • remuneration and salary;
  • skills set and personal characteristics;
  • International v. domestic opportunities;
  • top tips;
  • a European angle (opportunities in European institutions, e.g. the Council of Europe)
