Situation 7. You are receiving financial assistance from Aide financière aux études du Québec or you are a former recipient and did not interrupt your studies for more than two semesters

*This is a temporary status; a break in enrolment may impact this status.

Premise: You are receiving financial assistance from Aide financière aux études du Québec (AFE) or you are the former recipient and did not interrupt your studies for more than two consecutive semesters (not including the summer semester).

Note that McGill does NOT receive confirmation of AFE from the Ministry of Education, the student is responsible for providing the documentation listed below to us directly.

Documents Required:

  1. Proof of Canadian legal status
  2. Proof of receipt of Quebec financial aid. Proof can be demonstrated by submitting the confirmation letter from AFE (financial assistance statement) OR a copy of your certificate of guarantee delivered by AFE AND if this is your first semester at McGill and you have received aid previously while registered at another Quebec university, copies of your previous school's transcripts.
