The Humanities and Social Sciences Library is located in the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex, which is made up of two buildings: the McLennan Library Building and the Redpath Library Building.
You can enter the library from McTavish Street or from the Redpath terrace.

Layout by call number and collection
Collections are classified according to the Library of Congress or L.C. classification system. The library's DVD collection and some HSSL serials are shelved in accession number order. Several hundred pre-1970 books remain classified in Cutter. The word folio in a call number indicates an oversized book shelved in special folio ranges.
