Peter Schubert and Massimiliano Guido present "Unpacking the box", a series of videos about Frescobaldi's Ricercari of 1615
A new approach to music theory education. Three videos illustrate the master apprentice method of teaching the art of counterpoint with all transpositions and shortenings of cadential passages. The videos, filmed at the Schulich School of Music, feature a spectacular four octave Italian harpsichord that is part of the Kenneth Gilbert Harpsichord Collection.
