A major transformation begins in Pollack Hall

Pollack Hall, situated within the Schulich School of Music of McGill University, is scheduled to close temporarily on May 1, 2024, to undergo extensive refurbishment of its facilities. The forthcoming major renovations aim to enhance the experience for both performers and audiences. As a prominent fixture in Montreal's cultural landscape, this hall pays tribute to the Canadian philanthropist of Ukrainian descent, Maurice Pollack.

Sara Schabas wins the 9th edition of the Wirth Vocal Prize

The Schulich School of Music is proud to announce soprano Sara Schabas as the winner of the 2023–2024 Wirth Vocal Prize! 

Almost a decade after its establishment by Montreal philanthropist Elizabeth Wirth, the prize is awarded annually to a Schulich School of Music voice student who demonstrates exceptional talent, and significant promise for an international career.
