50th anniversary of "Pain Mechanisms: A New Theory"

November 19 marks the 50th anniversary of the ground-breaking paper, “Pain Mechanisms: A New Theory” co-authored by McGill’s Ronald Melzack, and the late Patrick Wall, which introduced gate-control theory.

Jeffrey Mogil,  E.P. Taylor Chair in Pain Studies previously held by Dr. Melzack; Director, Alan Edwards Centre for Research on Pain
He's an expert on the psychology of pain, among other things.
