Study away (Fall/Winter)

  • If you wish to cancel an application you must complete the "Request to Cancel" webform. Submit your request no later than:
    • For fall requests: August 15
    • For winter requests: December 15
    • Record changes must be made by government imposed deadlines. Changes requested after these deadlines may be subject to an administrative fee. Please see the following website for  additional details.
  • If you plan to stay at McGill for the term, please note that any courses on your record would have been deleted when your McGill record was updated to “Term Away”. It will be your responsibility to re-add your courses using Minerva.

Study Away (Summer)

  • If you wish to cancel an application which has not been granted “Faculty Approved” status, please open your Minerva application and cancel it.
  • If you wish to cancel an approved application you must complete the "Request to Cancel" webform under the Once Approved tab. Submit your request no later than:
    • For summer requests: August 15
    • Record changes must be made by government imposed deadlines. Changes requested after these deadlines may be subject to an administrative fee. Please see the following website for  additional details.
  • If you plan to stay at McGill for the term, please note that any courses on your record would have been deleted when your McGill record was updated to “Term Away”. It will be your responsibility to re-add your courses using Minerva.
