OSR Information Session: Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture (FRQSC) Research Team Support Program

Thursday, June 7, 2018 10:00to12:00
James Administration Building #301, 845 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, Montreal, QC, H3A 2T7, CA

The purpose of the FRQSC’s Research Team Support Program is to support the creation or the implementation of teams’ scientific program for the coordination of research projects (active or to be developed) in the social sciences and humanities, arts and literature. McGill professors considering applying to this opportunity are encouraged to attend this information session.

Michelle Picard-Aitken, Grants and Agreements Officer, Social Sciences and Humanities will present:

  • Information on the program, as well as tips and tools for the application process for different types of eligible teams. This opportunity funds infrastructure support for teams that are new (Emerging Teams), already in place (Operating Teams) or who have already held funds as an Operating team (Renewal).
  • Recent changes to the program guidelines and application procedures. Updated competition guidelines and forms will be posted on the FRQSC website in June. For the Fall 2018 Research Team Support competition, a brief Notice of Intent will be due in late July/August and full applications will be due in late September/early October via FRQnet, the FRQSC’s new online grants management system.

Time will also be reserved for a question & answer period, where participants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about the program or the application process. Those who are unable to attend or who may not feel comfortable sharing their questions are invited to send their inquiries to michelle.picard-aitken [at] mcgill.ca (Michelle Picard-Aitken) (ext. 3348) in advance so that they may be included in the session.

You are invited to register here by Thursday, May 30th, 2018.
