Conflicts of interest may occur in the conduct of research programs for a variety of reasons. The Regulation on Conflict of Interest, as well as a document called Recognizing Conflicts, can be obtained from the Cyclical Unit Review Office website. The Regulation outlines, among other things, researchers' roles and responsibilities. Furthermore, in an effort to help researchers identify possible conflicts the companion document "recognizing conflicts of interest" was developed by way of assisting researchers in identifying situations which may need to be declared to the university. It is not necessarily the case that all conflicts must be eliminated, but they must be disclosed and managed.
To disclose a conflict of interest, please complete the Statement of Conflict of Interest and then either Form A or Form B, whichever is relevant, all of which are available on the Cyclical Unit Review Office website. Details on where to submit the forms are indicated on the forms.
