Conference on Multilingualism

On October 24th-25th, the SCSD at McGill University, with support from the Centre for Research on Brain, Language and Music, will be hosting an International Conference on Multilingualism: Linguistic Challenges and Neurocognitive Mechanisms.

The conference examines recent advances in our understanding of multilingualism, including simultaneous bilingualism, language learning mechanisms, sign language, transfer effects, brain plasticity and critical periods, providing a critical overview of current developments in this field. One important goal of this conference is to facilitate and inspire the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas among researchers and students from different backgrounds, and to promote collaborative research projects in the future.
