Submit a project application

Applications for the 2017–2018 academic year are now open.

How to apply

  1. Make sure your project meets the eligibility requirements and falls within the work term dates for the current academic year.
  2. Complete and submit a project application form

Submit a separate application for each position, clearly stating the conditions and duration of the position along with the required duties and skills.

If you do not want your project advertised on the Job Postings page, please indicate “Do not post” in the “Skills” section of the application form.

When to apply

Applications open in July each year and are accepted until June 15 of the following year.

Applications submitted after the recommended dates will be assessed on a rolling basis.

Tip: It’s best to apply for the entire year rather than term by term.

Application results

After reviewing your application, we will notify you by letter of your results and funding levels (subsidy).

Extending your project

Within the academic year

If your project has been approved for the Fall and/or Winter terms in a given academic year and you would like to extend it to include the Winter and/or Summer term, please email your request to work.study [at] mcgill.ca (Work Study)—there is no need to submit a new application.

Until the next academic year

You will have to submit a new application in July once applications for the new academic year are open.
