With cold and flu season picking up – especially during COVID-19 – many members of the McGill community are interested in obtaining a flu vaccination. Quebec’s flu vaccine program launched on November 1st and is free for people who are most at risk of developing complications. Individuals who do not meet these criteria may still get vaccinated but must pay for their vaccine.

Thanksgiving Weekend Connection Opportunities
Monday October 12th is Thanksgiving Day in Canada, and the campus will be closed for a statutory holiday. Considering the current Red Alert status in Montreal, we know how important it is for our students to have opportunities to connect with each other during this long weekend, especially if you can't be with family members or friends in person.
Survey Results: Planning for a Remote Fall Semester
From June 25 to July 11, 2020, Student Services surveyed new and returning degree-seeking students about their plans for the remote Fall 2020 semester, on topics ranging from living situations to access to technology to student needs and well-being.
COVID-19 Student Impact Survey Results
In May 2020, Teaching and Learning Services (TLS), Student Services, and Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (GPS) collaborated to launch the COVID-19 Student Impact Survey to help units across the University better understand the student experience in the Winter 2020 term. With a 22% response rate from the over 30,000 graduate and undergraduate students who received the survey, the results will be used to inform how we serve and support students in the coming year.
Student Services Summer Closures
Please note that all Student Services units will be closed on the following dates:
Wednesday June 24th and Wednesday July 1st (statutory holidays)
Friday June 26th and Friday July 3rd (Summer Fridays)
Summer operating hours will resume on Monday July 6th. Please consult each unit's page for details on their summer hours.
Student Services Closed - Monday May 18th
Please note that all Student Services units will be closed on Monday, May 18, 2020. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.
Student Services Reduced Hours - February 25th
All Student Services units will be closed on Tuesday, February 25th, 2020 from 9am to 1pm for a staff training exercise. However, OSD exams and pre-booked psychiatrist appointments will continue as scheduled. If you have a psychiatrist appointment, please wait in the waiting room and your psychiatrist (or another team member) will greet you when it is your turn to be seen.

With our services closed during the holiday period, we know it can be hard to know where to turn for support, resources, or answers over the next couple of weeks. Gere are some of the options available to you throughout the holiday closure:
Student Services Holiday Hours
All Student Services units will be closed from Tuesday December 24th through Thursday January 2nd, inclusive. We will re-open for our usual hours on Friday January 3rd.
Please note that the Student Wellness Hub will not have drop-in appointments on Friday January 3rd.
Student Services Reduced Hours - December 4th
Student Services will be closed as of 3:30pm on Wednesday December 4th, 2019, with the following exceptions:
Postponement of Student Wellness Hub Open House
With the impending arrival of this season’s first winter storm, our team has been monitoring conditions all day to evaluate any potential impact on tomorrow’s Student Wellness Hub Open House.
Snow is expected well into tomorrow morning, when we are expecting materials and equipment to be delivered for the event. We have already been advised by at least one of our vendors of possible weather-related delays.
