Admissions, awards, and financial assistance


The application deadline for all academic programs offered at the School is the January 15th. Material can be submitted using uApply, McGill's online application system. Regardless of the program to which you are applying, you must submit a formal application on uApply. You will need a valid credit card to submit the application fee.

Admissions : Master of Urban Planning

The M.U.P. program is open to students holding a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Anthropology, Architecture, Economics, Engineering, Geography, Law, Management, Political Science, Social Work, Sociology or Urban Studies. Students from other academic backgrounds may also apply. Please explain in the Personal Statement why you would like to make a transition into urban planning. In the past, applicants have been accepted from backgrounds including Music, Chemistry, and Nursing.
