Meet Leah Dolgoy (she/her), Local Wellness Advisor (LWA) for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (Graduate Students)

  • Leah is a licensed occupational therapist with over 10 years of experience working in the health and social services network.
  • Her role as a Local Wellness Advisor for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Graduate Students involves connecting students to appropriate resources on-and-off campus, providing psychoeducational and skills-based workshops, outreach and wellness promotion, as well as individual one-on-one appointments.
  • Apart from BuildingAHealthierMcGill, Leah enjoys playing music. She also loves swimming, especially in lakes in the summer.
  • You can find Leah at the McIntyre Medical Building, 6th floor, room 637B in the FMHS Graduate Program offices.  1-1 initial appointments are currently only offered virtually, but some follow up appointment slots are available in person.

Students in professional programs (Undergraduate and Postgraduate Medical Education Programs, Ingram School of Nursing, School of Physical and Occupational Therapy, and School of Communication Sciences and Disorders) are not eligible to see the LWA for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (Graduate Students).  However, they are eligible for all Hub services and programming (including 1-1 appointments with counsellors at the Hub and community LWAs serving communities to which they belong e.g. International Students). Students in professional programs are also directed to the Office of Medical Learner Affairs for additional 1-1 appointments and tailored resources.
