Facilitate a Workshop or Activity

Homework Zone invites McGill students, student clubs and Kahnawá:ke and Montréal community members to share their passion and skills by facilitating a 40-minute workshop at one or all of our four participating elementary and secondary schools. Start times are either 3 or 4pm, depending on the school.

For McGill students, these activities provide your club or service with a great chance to engage with the community and consider new applications for your skills and interests. Past workshops include:

  • Caligraffiti
  • Yoga
  • Drama therapy
  • Map making
  • Astrophysics
  • Poetry
  • Music appreciation
  • Exploring the global food trade

Propose a Community Workshop or Activity

Are you part of a McGill student club or external community organization and you have an idea for a workshop or activity that would be engaging for elementary and secondary school students? We want to hear from you!

McGill University is on land that long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst
Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge
and thank the diverse Indigenous people whose footsteps have marked this territory on which
peoples of the world now gather.
