Appointment of Psychiatrist-in-Chief, MCH

Dr. Eva-Flore Bui-Xuan has been appointed as the new Psychiatrist-in-Chief of the Montreal Children’s Hospital, pending regulatory approvals.

As Psychiatrist-in-Chief, Dr. Bui will be responsible for the organization and leadership of child psychiatry clinical services of the MCH. She will work in close collaboration with Dr. Cecile Rousseau (Director, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry) to implement academic priorities, including teaching and research activities at the MCH.

Dr. Bui obtained her medical degree from the University of Sherbrooke and completed her psychiatric residency at University of Montreal where she also continued her academic and clinical career. Dr. Bui joined the McGill Department of Psychiatry and the Montreal Children’s Hospital several months ago, temporarily replacing a clinician on leave and has made notable clinical contributions already. In this short time, she has clearly demonstrated tireless advocacy for patients and their families.
