[0:32] At the Macdonald Campus, we’re located in Laird Hall. And at the downtown campus, we’re in the Burnside building. We offer a range of services to help provide a positive experience at McGill.

[0:50] Our agents receive training that prepares them for a variety of emergencies including Active Shooter situations.

[0:58] We also organize and plan full scale and tabletop simulations that help us be ready in the event of a variety of crisis situations.

[1:07] In the event of an emergency, you can dial 911 from any McGill telephone. 911 calls from McGill telephones are monitored by Security Services so that we can automatically dispatch an agent to the location while you are directed to 911. If you call 911 from a cellphone, don’t forget to alert Security Services downtown by calling 514 398 3000 or at Mac call 514 398 7777 as we are only able to monitor McGill calls from McGill landlines. You can also contact Security Services from any of the emergency telephones placed around both campuses by pressing the red button.

[1:51] Another good number to know is the tips line (514 398 TIPS). Any information that could help solve or prevent a crime can be given to Security by leaving an anonymous message.
