Summary
Key events for 2011 strengthen previous years' advances in providing tools for Integrated Water Resources Management in the Caribbean Region. The National Water Information System (NWIS), which was launched in Grenada in 2009, generated significant interest in the region as well as requests for guidance and training from other countries intending to replicate Grenada's success. With two years of experience in NWIS operation and maintenance, Grenada was able to train operational staff from other Caribbean countries. Another significant event this year was the Caribbean Water Information Systems Experts Workshop which brought together professionals and senior managers from 13 countries throughout the region.
