Annual LawTech Consortium

May 15-16, 2023

The CIPP will host the annual LawTech Consortium meeting on May 15 to 16, 2023 at McGill’s Faculty of Law. This annual event brings a senior and a junior scholar (and sometimes more) from eight universities to discuss a broad range of issues relating to law and technology. Hosted at a different university each year, this year’s themes in Montreal include artificial intelligence, data, governance of innovation, and more.  

Consortium members include McGill’s Centre for Intellectual Property Policy, the University of Pennsylvania’s Carey Law School, the University of Trento’s LawTech research group, Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Faculty of Law, the Université catholique de Louvain’s Faculty of Law, the Health Law and Ethics Research Group at the University of KwaZulu-Natal Durban, the Université Paris-Saclay’s Faculty of Law and Political Science (DANTE), the Sustainable Technology and Law Institute at Waseda University, and the Law and Technology Centre at the University of Hong Kong’s Faculty of Law.
