A remarkable McGillian by any measure, Dr. Huntington (Skip) Sheldon (1930-2017) devoted his prodigious talents and singular generosity to McGill and its students. A gifted teacher and former Strathcona Professor of Pathology in the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Sheldon’s achievements stand as a beacon of excellence in teaching, research and philanthropy for over four decades. His legacy has permeated McGill through his establishment of scholarships for international students, his exceptional support for Music at McGill, as well as his philanthropic leadership in creating the Sheldon Biotechnology Centre and supporting the Maude Abbott Medical Museum.
