Special public lecture offered by the McGill Dementia Education Program in partnership with the Cummings Centre

Join us as Claire Webster interviews Dr. Serge Gauthier and Dr. José Morais. They will describe dementia and provide advice on how to care for a loved one who is living with dementia. They will also discuss how to safely access services.

This session will be given in French. Questions and answers will be in French and English.

Claire Webster is a Certified Alzheimer Care Consultant, Conference Speaker and Educator. She is the Program Founder and Ambassador for the McGill Dementia Education Program and McGill Cares, a weekly webcast series designed to support family caregivers. She is also President of Caregiver Crosswalk, a consulting firm that provides education and support services to help individuals navigate dementia-related illnesses.

Dr. Serge Gauthier is the Director of the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Research Unit of the McGill University Research Centre for Studies in Aging and Academic Co-Lead of the McGill Dementia Education Program. He is also a Professor in the Departments of Neurology & Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, and Medicine at the McGill Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Dr. José Morais is Professor and Director of Geriatric Medicine at the McGill Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, the McGill University Health Centre and the Jewish General Hospital. In addition to being Academic Lead of the McGill Dementia Education Program, he is Co-Director of the Quebec Network for Research on Aging and past President of the Canadian Geriatrics Society.
