On November 11-12, 2017, the Social Innovators' Integration Lab (SIIL) and Impact Hub Montreal welcome students, data enthusiasts, and members of the Montreal community to participate in a datadive for social impact.

What is a datadive?

A datadive is a hackathon-style event gathering data enthusiasts, students and scholars around sets of qualitative and/or quantitative data related to an organization. The objective is to address a key issue facing the organization by analyzing data to gain insights on current operations and programs, and to recommend ways to enable more successful outcomes.

Why get involved with a datadive for social impact?

The event enables students to understand management challenges within an existing organization that is not otherwise resourced to undertake this depth of study. Datadive finalists will present their results at a closing event that’s open to the public with the objective of transferring knowledge and diffusing insights more widely.

Who will we help this time?

The SIIL datadive will have teams of 3-4 participants working on a challenge defined by our partner ACEM, a Montreal Community Loan Fund whose mission is to fight poverty and exclusion through an innovative approach: community credit.
