Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) Info Session

Monday, January 21, 2019 12:30to14:00
Brown Student Services Room 5001, 3600 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC, H3A 0G3, CA

Did you know that the federal government is Canada’s most diverse employer? A wide range of career opportunities are available from coast to coast to coast. The Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) provides full-time summer jobs and part-time jobs during the academic year for full-time students. Last year, over a thousand students were hired across Québec, in a variety of jobs, such as administration, program management, scientific research support, and border services, in departments such as National Defense, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Service Canada, and Public Services and Procurement Canada.

On Monday January 21st 2019, from 12.30 to 2.00 pm, representatives from the Public Service Commission of Canada will be sharing practical tips on how to apply to student jobs and to career opportunities in the federal government. This session will also provide information on entrance exams, second language testing, benefits, and answers to your questions about working for the federal government. We look forward to meeting you!
