Providing feedback to students on their writing assignments can be a complex and time-consuming task. It can also be frustrating in that students don’t necessarily pay attention to feedback.
How then can we engage students with feedback and encourage them to take greater responsibility for their learning? This workshop focuses on feedback strategies for essays and research (term) papers that engage students with feedback and encourage them to take greater responsibility for their learning before, during, and after assignments. An additional benefit is that these strategies can result in a more efficient marking process for instructors.
