Closing the genomics research gap
A symposium about inequalities in genomics research and health (and what to do about them)

Genome-based medicine is at the heart of a revolution in medical care. There is broad agreement on the need for genomic studies to be more representative of all populations so that people everywhere benefit from improved health outcomes. After years of effort, the representation gap has finally begun to shrink.

The goal of this symposium is to bring together leaders in medical genomics, statistical genetics and community engagement to address these questions and examine concrete strategies to ensure that all can benefit from genomics research.
