McLennan Library Building Room MS-74, 3459 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC, H3A 0C9, CA

Can your posts be read by a screen reader? Do your tweets have alt text? What is CamelCase? Social media platforms are widely used across campus to provide students with news, and details about upcoming events, but how can we make it more accessible? Students who attend this workshop will be able to: identify the most common accessibility issues related to three social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram; apply best practices; and evaluate the accessibility of posts on the respective platforms. This 2 hour workshop will be lecture style, with experiential components. It’s going to be #awesome.

Registration required: https://involvement.mcgill.ca/event/82273

This workshop is facilitated by Rachel Desjourdy, Access & Inclusion Officer at the Office for Students with Disabilities
