McGill's 7th Annual Academic Integrity Day

Event

New Residence Hall 3625 avenue du Parc, Montreal, QC, H2X 3P8, CA

Part I - Exploring Authorship and Research Ownership

Participants will learn about broader integrity contexts, and then delve into real cases of plagiarism, authorship, and data falsification in academic research.

Part II - How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love Responsible Conduct of Research by Susan Zimmerman, Executive Director of the Secretariat on Responsible Conduct of Research.

What is responsible conduct of research? How is it different from research integrity, or research misconduct? What is the Tri-Agency Framework: Responsible Conduct of Research and why should I care? What are the Secretariat and Panel on Responsible Conduct of Research, and how can they ruin (or facilitate) my research career? This presentation will seek to put an end to your worries and familiarize you with (almost) everything you need to know about responsible conduct of research.

More information on the event.
